Cabin Fever?

The temperatures we're currently having are cold, but at least we're not getting nailed with one storm after another like we were in 2009-2010.  This was what we did when we had cabin fever then:

Vander Hart Family Vacation 2009

These were fun pages to create, but took quite awhile because I had pictures from the entire family to weed through.  I think I did a good job narrowing them down into 8 pages for Emma's book.  :)

Kentucky to Visit Macy...February 2010

Photoshop

I've been enjoying using Photoshop again as I get ready to finally redeem a Groupon from Mixbook.  Wonder how many more pages I can get completed before it expires?  Please ignore the odd edges to any of the layouts I post.  I have to make all the "canvas" sizes bigger so the edges of my pages don't get cut off when I upload them to Mixbook.  Please don't ask about the long story of how I figured that out.  :(  Thankfully our internet is faster now though, so I'll be able to learn from my mistakes MUCH faster!  :)

Repurposing

I used to have a diaper organizer hanging on this towel rod in the kids' room. I've been trying to come up with another use for it do I don't have to remove it, fill in holes, and paint. I saw this idea for necklaces, etc. on Pinterest and thought it would be perfect for Emma's jewels. She loves it, and we moved the step stool out of the bathroom so she can reach everything on her own.

She Remembered

Well, we got by without the tutu for ONE whole day. I got her dressed this morning in her Skipper Club shirt. She was all excited, and then she put her hands on my cheeks and whispered, "Now I have to have my tutu. Remember? The one Aunt Jackie gave me?"

How could I forget...

Told you so!

Here's Emma in her tutu from Aunt Jackie...again.

Crock Pot Lasagna

Doesn't this look delicious? It's a recipe from The Crock Pot Girls, and it was wonderful coming home from church to a complete meal ready to be eaten. Yummy!
